There are many ways you can get involved in the exciting world of theatre at the Creswick Theatre Company.
Want to be a director?
Theatre Submissions are now open to direct and/or send us show proposals.
We are very excited to call for production proposals from directors interested in directing our future production season.
Interested Directors may submit a play of your choice or direct a play selected by our Play Selection Committee.
Please note that the Creswick Theatre Company is a volunteer organisation and no paid directing positions are available.
Do you have an idea for a play?
We are now open for play submissions.
Future productions may represent a range of performances from classic plays and small musicals, new work, cabaret, revues, puppetry and children’s productions.
Season dates available (actual dates to be confirmed with CTC committee and nominated Directors)
July School Holidays 2024: A production for children, may be a puppet show, play or musical for younger audiences.
September 2024: Season is open for your creative submissions.
Oct/Nov/Dec 2024: A lighter play is preferred to celebrate end of year – comedy, cabaret, concert or revue, adult pantomime or small musical, Christmas theme is optional. Available dates would be in October or early November or between December 9 – 22.

Sound and Light
It’s been a busy season for us, and thanks to those of you who assisted with the tech in our various shows. Bea and Rohan, both of whom came to the sessions with Sam, are by now old hands, (or slightly older hands) at using the desk upstairs, and we are going to offer further sessions, as promised, for you to attend on a Sunday afternoon.
Sam is now living in Adelaide, but Bea has agreed to supervise us all, and (I hope) Rohan will be available to help too. More of a self-help session under Bea and Rohan’s guidance.
The next session is scheduled for:
Sunday 5 November: 2 pm – 4 pm : Sound & Lighting Training continues at Creswick Theatre, all technicians and curious bodies welcome.
We have some volunteer opportunities coming up for Sound and/or Lighting Techs on the following dates:
